This is insane 🤯 🎶 📈 I wrote and performed “Your Dad” as my love letter to my three daughters - Simone, Jazzy & Tia. A record exec called me and I said “ahh you’re calling to tell me congrats on my song being #3. He said no, I’m calling to say congrats on your song becoming a “global top 10 hit”… that’s a better way to phrase it” Yup much better way to say it 🤣😎🎶 Every man wants a son, but every man NEEDS a daughter. I’m blessed beyond words to be my daughter’s dad and as I say in the song “a deeper love that I never knew, you took my heart and you pulled me through…” Amazing to see how this song has touched so many of you - because you live it as well. Shout to my co-writer and brother @Iam Tongi, for helping us bring our fatherly emotions together. I know what this song means to you too and one day we’ll sing the “other” version to our own dads who are in heaven when the time is right - in our hearts.
